Brocade Compatible SFP+ 10GBASE-SR 850nm 300m DOM Duplex LC/UPC MMF Optical Transceiver Module supports up to 400m link lengths over 4700MHz*km OM4 MMF (300m over 2000MHz*km OM3 MMF) via an LC duplex connector. This transceiver is compliant with SFF-8431, SFF-8432, and IEEE 802.3ae standards and seamless interoperability in multivendor environments. Digital diagnostics monitoring is available via a 2-wire serial interface, as specified in SFF-8472. Featuring low power consumption and high speed, this transceiver is ideal for data centers, enterprise wiring closets, service provider transport applications, Radio & Baseband Units, etc.

A:Dust and contamination can accumulate on transceiver’s connectors and cause problems such as reducing the optic launch power. To ensure better connection, I strongly recommends cleaning both connectors each time you disconnect and reconnect them.
Q:What’s the 10G SR transceivers max supported distances?
A:10GBASE-SR SFP+ transceivers support up to 300m on OM3 multimode fibers.
Q:What type of fiber cable is recommended for optimal performance?
A:For optimal performance, it is recommended to use OM4 multimode fiber optic cable with LC connectors.
