1m (3ft) Cisco QSFP-100G-AOC1M Compatible 100G QSFP28 Active Optical Cable Description

1m (3ft) Generic Compatible 10G SFP+ Active Optical Cable

100G QSFP28 AOC achieves 100Gbps transmission rate through 4 channels (4×25.78Gbps). It is a reliable, cost and power efficient integrated solution, ideal for high-density signal transmission with fiber optic cable length up to 100 meters.

The Cisco QSFP-100G-AOC1M Compatible QSFP28 Active Optical Cables are fiber assemblies with QSFP28 connectors designed for direct-attach connections over Multi-Mode Fiber (MMF). These AOCs comply with hot-pluggable QSFP28 MSA and RoHS-6 standards, ensuring compatibility and adherence to environmental regulations. By offering a cost-efficient alternative to discrete optical transceivers and patch cables, these AOCs are ideal for establishing 100Gbps connections within racks and adjacent racks. Active optical cables provide a lightweight and slim alternative to copper cables, simplifying cable management.

Questions & Answers

Q: Is there any sequence to install this cable?
A: No, the cable is plug and play, very easy to install.
Q: Can this cable be used in the stack port of Cisco Meraki series device to achieve the switch stacking?
A: No, it can’t be used in the stack port of your device. FS DAC & AOC can only be used in the business port of the switch to achieve virtual stacking, but can not be used in the stack port to achieve physical stacking. The stacking through the stack port of device belongs to physical stacking which needs a specific stacking cable, and it is under development for now.
