Brocade 25G-SFP28-BXD Compatible SFP28 25GBASE-D BiDi 1330nm-TX/1270nm-RX 20km DOM Simplex LC/UPC SMF Optical Transceiver Module

The Brocade 25G-SFP28-BXD compatible SFP28 transceiver provides up to 20 km of 25GBase-BX throughput over single-mode fiber (SMF) using 1330nm-TX/1270nm-RX wavelengths via LC simplex connectors. This bi-directional unit must be used with another transceiver or network equipment of complementary wavelengths. It provides 25GBASE Ethernet connectivity options for 25G Ethernet, telecom and data centers. It is fully compliant with SFF-8472, SFF-8402, SFF-8432, SFF-8431, MSA and eCPRI standards.

Questions & Answers

Q:I have bought a pair of BIDI modules, and I want to buy attenuators. Should I buy two attenuators for two modules?
A:Yes, when using BiDi modules, you will generally need to use a pair of attenuators, one for each module.
Q:What cable type is needed for the 25G BIDI transceivers?
A:Simplex single-mode cables with LC/UPC connectors. I bought these simplex cables along with some BIDI modules and they work great.
Q:Can the 25G BIDI modules be connected to MTP cables?
A:No, BIDI module has a LC simplex connector and needs to be used with the LC simplex calble.
Q:Do these modules include reclocking function?
A:You may be referring to CDR, clock data recovery. Yes, this moudle has build-in CDR.
Q:Can l get a sample first?
A:We do offer samples before making any production so that the production is up to the buyer’s ex-pectation. Samples can be delivered within 5-8 days.
