MVSLINK OSFP-800G-2OSFPACC is an 800Gb/s twin-port OSFP (Octal Small Form-factor Pluggable) to 2x400Gb/s OSFP passive Active Copper Cable (ACC) dual breakout (aka splitter) cable. The ACC uses 8-channels of 100G-PAM4 modulation and has lengths of 4 and 5-meters. ACC cables are the second lowest-cost, low-latency, low-power consuming, high-speed links next to passive DACs due to their simplicity of design and minimal components. MVSLINK’s cable solutions provide power-efficient connectivity enabling higher port bandwidth, density, and configurability at a low cost and reduced power requirement in the data centers.

Questions & Answers

Q:Why are there no NDR AOCs?
A:OSFPs are very large and heavy and the fiber breaks easily. A two-splitter cable will have three large transceiver ends. A four-splitter cable will have five transceivers. That would almost certainly make it easy to break the fiber during installation – especially for a 30 meter AOC.
Q:What is the maximum transmission distance of the OSFP-800G-OSFPACC cable?
A:The ACC can provide up to 5m.
Q:We have some QM9700 NDR switches connected with original IB cables, if we use them together with your cables will there be any incompatibility problems?
A:MVSLINK IB cables meet international standards, with good interoperability and compatibility, and are able to be paired together with the original cables.
Q:I only use the 1st splitter of the splitter IB cable, the 2nd splitter is not installed on the NIC, will it affect the use of the 1st splitter cable?
A:It has no effect after the port is configured with a split port, it is recognized as two logical ports inside the device, and each splitter corresponds to one logical port, which does not affect each other.
Q:Can 200G HDR switches interconnect with 200G NDR200 CX7 adapters?
A:No, NDR200 is a 2-channel 112G PAM4 modulation, and HDR 200G is a 4-channel 56G PAM4 modulation, so they cannot be interconnected.
