Arista Networks SFP-10G-LR compatible SFP+ transceiver supports up to 10km link lengths over LC duplex SMF fiber. This transceiver is compliant with SFF-8431, SFF-8432 and IEEE 802.3ae standards. Digital diagnostics monitoring is available via a 2-wire serial interface, as specified in SFF-8472. Featuring low power consumption, high speed, this 10G SFP+ transceiver is ideal for data center, enterprise wiring closet, service provider transport application, Radio & Baseband Unit, etc.

Q:Does this product get hot after a long time of use?
A:Hi, so far, I haven’t seen that, the transceivers is safe ensurance, I would highly recommend.
Q:What’s the 10G LR transceivers min supported distance?
A:For your information, the minimum cabling distance for LR modules is 2m based on the IEEE 802.3ae.
Q:This sfp module can be configured to either 1G or 10Gbps ? Thanks
A:Thanks for inquiring.This sfp module can be configured to 10Gbps ,can’t be configured to 1Gbps .
Q:We have two stations far each 2 Km. Each station has 2 indipendent lan. So 2 switches in each station don’t will connected like stack but each of they will stack with his omologue in the other station 2Km far. Should I choose FS 10G 10KM optics in this link?
A:Yes, that should a good choice, they also have stocks, you can enjoy fast shipment.
Q:Does it require any attenuators if I want to use the 10G LR transceivers in 5km?
A:Yes, you need to use attenuators of 3~5dB in the transmission.
