MVSLINK OSFP-800G-OSFPAC is an 800Gb/s twin-port OSFP (Octal Small Formfactor Pluggable) Finned Top to 2x400Gb/s twin-port OSFP Finned Top Active Copper Cable (ACC) for InfiniBand NDR networking. ACC is an active DAC with a pre-emphasis equalizer IC included in each end, enabling cable lengths of up to 5 meters while maintaining very low latency and very low power at 1.5 Watts per end. MVSLINK’s cable solutions provide power-efficient connectivity enabling higher port bandwidth, density, and configurability at a low cost and reduced power requirement in the data centers.

Q:Why are there no NDR AOCs?
A:OSFPs are very large and heavy and the fiber breaks easily. A two-splitter cable will have three large transceiver ends. A four-splitter cable will have five transceivers. That would almost certainly make it easy to break the fiber during installation – especially for a 30 meter AOC.
Q:What is the maximum transmission distance of the OSFP-800G-OSFPACC cable?
A:The ACC can provide up to 5m.
Q:We have some QM9700 NDR switches connected with original IB cables, if we use them together with your cables will there be any incompatibility problems?
A:MVSLINK IB cables meet international standards, with good interoperability and compatibility, and are able to be paired together with the original cables.
Q:What is the difference between OSFP-800G-OSFPDAC and OSFP-800G-OSFPACC?
A:OSFP-800G-OSFPDAC is a passive copper cable with a connector that does not contain active components, provides a direct electrical connection between the corresponding cable ends, and has a maximum transmission distance of 2m. An ACC is a passive DAC with a pre-emphasis equalizer lC included in each end, which can extend the length of the cable; OSFP-800G-OSFPACC can extends the length to 3m, 4m, and 5m while maintaining low latency and low power consumption of 1.5W per end.
