Brocade Compatible SFP+ 10GBASE-BX10-U BiDi 1270nm-TX/1330nm-RX 10km DOM Simplex LC/UPC SMF Optical Transceiver Module

Brocade Compatible 10GBASE-BX10-U SFP+ Transceiver Module(SMF, 1270nm-TX/1330nm-RX, 10km, LC, DOM) Brocade compatible SFP+ transceiver supports up to 10km link lengths over OS2 SMF via an LC simplex connector. This 10G BiDi SFP+ transceiver, featured with data transmission over a single strand of fiber, the one transceiver transmits a 1270-nm channel and receives a 1330-nm signal, whereas the other BiDi SFP+ optics transmits at a 1330-nm wavelength and receives a 1270-nm signal. Digital diagnostics can also be used through the I2C interface designated by SFF-8472 to allow access to real-time operating parameters. Each BIDI SFP+ transceiver module is individually tested to be used on a series of switches, routers, servers, network interface cards (NICs) etc. Featuring low power consumption and high speed, this 10G BIDI SFP+ transceiver is ideal for enterprise wiring closets, service provider transport applications, Radio & Baseband Units, etc.

Quality Assurance

R&D team consists of experts with years of experience in the optical communications industry. Our manufacturers are top-class in the industry and support a product OEM. Installing a third-party transceiver does not affect your network equipment.

Quality Certifications

We follow the principle of quality first. We strictly control the quality of our products and comply with certification and safety standards. Currently, our products comply with industry standards and mainstream quality certifications, such as ISO 9001, CE, RoHS, FCC, UKCA, and so on.

Our advantages

Besides the price advantage we have compared to branded cables, MVSLINK InfiniBand Cables also maintain the same performance and reliability. To satisfy our customers` needs of high performance, all of our cables are tested multiple times in mainstream original brand switches in our test center before shipped out.

Advanced R&D Center

MVSLINK has an R&D center in Shanghai, focusing on analyzing customer and market needs and working with leading strategic R&D partners.

Quality Assurance

Each product has been tested for compatibility and interoperability on host devices, and has received many international certifications such as ISO, CE, and RoHS.

Customized Coding

All parts can be programmed to meet specific needs and unique codes can be created for customized network solutions.

Questions & Answers

Q: Why do I need to choose a BD transceiver? What is the main difference between the BIDI module and the conventional optical module?
A: The primary difference from traditional duplex optical modules is that the BiDi optical module operates as a simplex module allowing the customer to double the utilization of the existing fiber. Besides, bidirectional transceiver doubles the amount of network equipment that can be attached to the same set of 4 fibers, compared to regular transceivers.
Q: I would like to use SFP-10G-BX40 and SFP-10G-BX to connect Mikrotik devices. Can I choose the Generic compatible?
A: Hello, if your device has 10G ports, you can choose Generic compatible. Please note that the BIDI module needs to be used in pairs. When using long-distance modules for short distances, it is necessary to use attenuators together to avoid damaging the modules.
Q: I am confused as to whether I should choose a dual fiber optical module or a BIDI SFP+ module? Do they have the same effect?
A: The single-fiber BiDi optical module only needs one optical fiber, which is a better choice for users with insufficient optical fiber resources. Dual-fiber optical modules do not need to be paired, and any two optical modules can be connected, if the fiber resources are sufficient, you can choose a dual-fiber optical module. In short, the dual-fiber bidirectional optical module and BiDi optical module have the same effect when used. You can choose according to your needs.
Q: Do you purchase complimentary pairs for each end? I.e. do I need to buy the -U model for one end and the -D model for the other?
A: I recommend you buy in pairs, BIDI modules are usually needed to be used in pairs.
Q: Does this module have only one optical fiber? How does it realize the transmission and reception of optical signals at the same time?
A: BiDi optical module uses WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) bidirectional transmission technology to achieve simultaneous bidirectional transmission in an optical channel on an optical fiber.
