Cisco GLC-GE-100FX Compatible SFP SGMII 100BASE-FX 1310nm 2km DOM Duplex LC MMF Optical Transceiver Module

Cisco GLC-GE-100FX compatible SFP transceiver supports up to 2km link lengths over multi-mode fiber (MMF) using a wavelength of 1310nm via an LC connector. Each SFP transceiver module is individually tested to be used on a series of Cisco switches, routers, servers, network interface card (NICs) etc. Featuring low power consumption, the hot swappable 100BASE SFP transceiver is ideal for Internet Service Provider (ISP) Fast Ethernet communication links, Enterprise LAN & SAN Networks, Data Center LAN & SAN Networks and other optical links.

A:No, this is a multi-mode module, you need to match the multi-mode cable.
Q:What is the difference between SFP-100FX-31 and SFP-GE-100FX?
A:The SFP-100FX-31 is used directly on the 100M port at a rate of 100M, while the other product is used on the 1G port at a rate of 100M.
Q: Can this module be used on a 100 megabit port?
A:No, it is a module for converting 1G to 100 megabit and needs to be used on a 1G port.
Q: What‘s the difference between SGMII and Serdes?
A: Serdes and SGMII are both transceiver serial interfaces, the difference between SGMII and Serdes is that SGMII supports 10/100/1000 rate auto-negotiation but Serdes is fixed rate.
